At El Toyon School, we believe that every student has the potential to shine, and we are here to help them grow into the best version of themselves. We focus on helping students develop strong academic skills in reading, writing, and critical thinking, but we also want them to grow into kind, confident, and thoughtful individuals. The mission of Camarena Elementary School is to provide an educational experience for all children that promotes academic excellence, social responsibility, emotional strength, physical vitality and above all else a love for learning.

We, the parents and staff of Mary G. Clarkson School, believe that every child has the potential to be a responsible, caring, cooperative individual.  Our goal is to enable children to develop physically, emotionally, socially and academically so that they will become confident, mature, involved citizens.

Murchison EEC staff is dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. Our educational philosophy is that we believe that children learn best through play-based exploration and hands-on activities.

Each day the Rohr Community will provide a safe and nurturing learning community for each individual child to grow and flourish. All educators will model, instruct, and provide rigorous instruction to all students in all content areas. The teachers and staff have developed the “ROAR” values of being respectful, owning choices, always being safe, and being responsible. These are the building blocks toward student success and lifelong learning.

An internationally-recognized student success scholar, highly acclaimed public speaker, and award-winning writer, Dr. Strayhorn is author of 14 books and over 200+ book chapters and journal articles and other scholarly publications. He has given thousands of invited keynotes and lectures at more than 2,000+ universities, schools, companies, and conferences across the globe. Funds exceeding $10 million have supported his research program. Professor, center director, and principal investigator, Strayhorn is Editor of Frontiers in Education (Higher Education Specialty) and sits on several non-profit boards including Minds Beyond Measure, Rainbow Labs, Psychologists of Color, MEN Inc. (Houston), and MCT Educational Foundation, to name a few.
